IRELAND’S GOT TALENT has been going down pretty well.
Every weekend, we get to see lovely Irish characters like Tallaght granny Evelyn, 38-year-old mother Linda McLoughlin from Rathoath singing her heart out to Beyoncé’s ‘Listen’ and just this weekend, viewers were very impressed with a deaf choir from Cabra.
With any TV show, there’ll always be some viewers who aren’t impressed. One woman took to Twitter with some strange criticism. She wrote:
My children were so confused watching this nonsense this evening. A man in woman’s clothes with a terrible act, followed by a gay so-called joker to an overtly gay presenter… The list goes on. It was awful.
Wow. I wonder what she’d think if she found out what Michelle Visage’s other job is.
Ireland’s Got Talent judge Denise caught wind of this comment and she wasn’t impressed at all. She wrote “OMG! This woman is shocking” to a TV3 producer on Twitter, before responding to the woman.
James Kavanagh was also shocked by the comments.
He responded by writing:
You are foul. The fact that you have children is terrifying. Hopefully they grow up to be absolutely nothing like you.
It’s not the first time that James Kavanagh’s sexuality has been criticised by TV viewers. Just last month, after an appearance on the Late Late Show he was labelled a ‘disgrace to gay’ who ‘reinforces stereotypes and sets the gay agenda back 100 years’.
Kavanagh responded with an Instagram post that received 10,000 likes where he joked:
Damn it. I hate when I accidentally set The Gay Agenda back 100 years.
